If you want to post a track or mix you've made, please use the Promotional Artist Tracks & DJ Mixes section. This lets you download or stream the music in an pop-up player, and lets you comment on and give a rating for what you're listening to. The section is divided into two main areas, one for tracks and one for mixes, and these are further subdivided into rough genres. If you want to share something that doesn't fit into any of those styles then let me or any other mod know and we'll see about adding a new category. The size limit for uploading audio files to PsyMusic UK is 200Mb per file. The file size may be bigger if you are linking direct from another server. To avoid having your post removed please use file sharing services that offer a permanent link. To add your mix or track click here.

It's always nice to let people know when you've posted something so I've started this thread where you can post a link to your track or mix once you've posted it. If we can keep this thread tidy it will remain useful, so please limit your posts to a link and brief description. Off-topic posts will be removed.

It will help keep this section tidy and manageable for everyone who wants to use it. It's not possible to move threads posted here into the new music section, so any threads started here rather than there will be locked and links deleted, to encourage you to use the new system.

In addition, tracks or mixes posted here may be downloaded by eT and played on the stream - but only if they've been posted as direct links - no SendSpace or Yousend it please.

Any problems or questions, just ask.

    Thanks :)

    Hi ZenPunkHippy

I think you have nailed that psy vibe totaly. Its nice to hear such a full on sound which remaines peacful at the same time.

I have a few coments about the tune, firstly I think the single note pad sound could do with some drastic modulation or something when it becomes the main element of the song. I really like what it does when other parts become the main focus. Some parts of the song also seem to need more progression to keep interest going. Lastly there is a bandpassed sound before the last break. It sounds way too weak or too low volume.

Great job, keep it up :)

    Hi jackrabbit,

Thanks for listening. I'll keep the modulation comments in mind ... agreed it's a little bland as is ... catching the odd sound that is not quite loud enough etc. is part of the art ... I'll check that out ...

It's great to get some positive encouragement :)

    Peace,
    Andy.

    Why thankyou :)
Does anyone know why when I upload to myspace, the tune starts to sound like it's being played off a 15 year old chewed-up cassette?

Check out the link below for a discussion of the MySpace audio problem. When I had a page on MySpace (a year ago, since deleted) I did not notice any problems ... BUT the audio files were hosted externally to MySpace and I used a custom Flash player to point to those files. Sounds like hosting on MySpace includes them applying their own compression to your mixes / tracks ...

    Peace,
    Andy.
