Interestingly people keep calling you ICO instead of LCO :) I produce prog/electro under the name ikø ... anyway first thing I would do is practice nailing a tight bass and kick combo, after you have a deep bass its quite easy to build progressive textural stuff over the top.

Here on the forum are a lot of bass threads. Try a search, some have enough detailed tips to keep you busy some days or weeks or months or even more.
Using a sine wave as bottom is not recommended, a simple saw wave is perfect. most of the recommendations on that threads are roughly about getting the volume- and filter envelope right and to not use ANY plugins until you have that envs and the relation to the kick about 95% perfect.

Not until then it is time to get some eq/comp/quadrafuzz or whatever out. To get the last 5%...

    Search the bass threads! :)

This! If you cant get a good bassline with one saw oscillator and a good kick then you need to keep at it. I would say that 80%+ of it is in the pitch, filter envelope settings and the relative volume between the kick and the bass everything after that is polish and flavour.

Also nope not Norwegian British/Brazilian I just liked the name :)
