The first change: you have to score four points (of four) in at least one Daily Living descriptor to qualify for any at all. Currently this excludes people who can only microwave ready meals and need help to wash or dress below the waist, as these are only three points each. It means someone with profound needs, scoring threes across the whole spectrum and need regular support, would now no longer quality for even the low rate.
Then they want to link UC disability premium with PIP, so if you don't get PIP Daily, you don't get the premium either. This premium is going to be cut in half, so even if you do get PIP Daily, you're still losing two or three grand per year.
It just took me nineteen gruelling months to win PIP last year and in the end, they awarded on the original evidence after all. Apparently, however, it is too easy to claim.
