A friend of mine returned from her travels in India with a really nice compo cd called Bombay Lounge 3 I've found the distributors website and the album - http://www.musicindiaonline.com/l/13/s/album.3302/ you may download the music (fine) but they don't appear to be selling stuff on there and I like to have original copies!! I tried another website http://www.zibamusic.com who did stock it, but I did'nt account for the huge shipping fee doh :?, so, does anyone know of any UK retailers who stock this type of thing? I've tried Amazon and Play who are fine for some of the other stuff I was after, but after hearing this cd I have to have it and the 2 that came before it cos its so pretty!! :)

I know a few peeps on here are into this kind of stuff cos I've heard similar samples of it in yer sets :p and wondered if any of you could help me or give me some suggestions cos its all new to me but I'm loving it!
Ta very muchly

I've not come across that particlaur CD - but there have been loads of similar CDs in the wake of the sucess of the Budha Lounge series - a trendy french cafe that plays lounge/worldy type stuff - if there is a FOPP near you - they often have similar CDs very cheap

Probably on a similar type vein are the CDs from Pathaan - the Stoned Asia series (1-4) and his various mix CDs Small World, Indian Sunset etc - all top stuff though they can get abit break-y at times - but in a chilled way!

www.pathaan.com

As for retailers, as well as Amazon etc

www.amboworld.com

are the ambinent end of chaosunlimited & although they concentrate on psy chill - they do have a fair bit of other chill out stuff.

changing world can be good too - though a bit more new agey

www.changing-world.com

In the world of psy chill - virtually every psy chill cd has some Indian type samples on - but one of my fave comps is Butterfly Dawn on LSD records

Hope thats been of some use

Woooo hooo cheers Damo, will get onto Dolphin Discs now *edit* but Amazon were cheaper* ;) thats really helpful, I shall have a look around and see if anything else grabs me and keep watchful eye for seagulls!! :p Cheers John thats a nice few sites to get me started!!
xx

its top stuff - its got a fair few tracks I play out on it (from their original sources)- which is good in some ways as an established DJ has the same tastes as you - but bad cos it sounds like you're just playing someone elses cd!

(this happend recently with the Giles Petresons in Africa CD which has loads of quite obscure afrobeat tracks I've been playing out for years - and now this high profile CD has come out with them all on & you can get it in HMV ...arrgghhh!)
