Haven't taken this ever-so far yet, but...
A while ago, someone came up with the idea of leveraging the processing power of nVidia GPUs to drive a special VSTi.
Along similar lines, I'm wondering what the possibilities would be of leveraging the processing power of off-the-shelf (and these days relatively cheap) console hardware like the Playstation to drive VSTi synths and effects in a similar way to Powercore.
Maybe using a system similar to FX-Teleport with the PS2's Ethernet port (PS3 has one built-in).
It might be possible to build a distributed network of these machines.
Like I say - totally brain-stormed.
