    My CDJ500s' have been with me for 5+ years.

    They do the job well, so long as you're not trying to do fancy stuff.

    I am considering a new deck for backup, but the CDJ 800 is about the same price as the 500s at the minute.

    What do you really get with the 1000 over 800 BTW? It's not far off double the price!

    BTW - I'm not convinced .1% accuracy is as good as I'd like when DJing. I'm sure vinyl is more accurate. I find it much easier to get an accurate beat lock with vinyl.
