Generation game...

Mods - not sure if this is the right section of the forum, but my thinking was that it was better here than anywhere else.

Anyhoo, I'm thinking of getting a generator for outdoor playing, can anyone recommend what to look out for & steer well clear of when choosing one? Or do you have any recommendations?

I'd like it to be as quiet as possible and it only needs to drive a DJM600 and 2 x CDJ1000s, plus a radio transmitter - we're going to be doing 'stealth parties' :p

You can get a 720w 2-stroke generator for £99.

They're fairly quiet [62dba@ 7 metres] although not as quiet as a £400 Honda [50dba @ 7metres] and will be easily enough to power two decks, a mixer and a wireless transmitter.

Emissions-wise they're not terribly clean [being 2-stroke] but then, no petrol generator is going to be environmentally friendly.
