Hello everyone!
Since this is one of those forums, which allows for 'hi, I'm new around here' threads, I feel almost obliged to start things off by introducing myself. So without futher ado, here we go:
I'm currently 22 years old and I live in Helsinki, Finland. I've been interested in psychedelic music since 1997...and will be probably all my life.
As long as I've been interested in psy-music, I've also been writing some of my own. I worked with Impulse Tracker 2 from 1997 to 1999, when I switched over to Jeskola Buzz, which I've been (ab)using ever since.
As for my music writing, all I can say is that I'm an unlucky mish-mash of high demands and low self esteem coupled with complete perfectionism...which only goes to say that during the past few years, less and less finished tracks have emerged from my computer, resulting in the creation of hundreds of tiny fragments of whatever musical and rhythmic elements one can think of and a load of sound-mangling and mixing experiments. Nonetheless, those few tracks I've finished - alone or as a result of collaborations - have ended up sounding really good <-- personal biased opinion
For the last 5 years I've used 'Neuropa' as my artist name...a name that's completely logical: I live in northern europe, I (aim to) write music that hits your neural network like a ten ton sledgehammer, and the first two letters of my name are p and a. My nick is also a word trickery derivation of my name.
If there are other Buzz people around here, I'm always open for collaboration/remix work in almost any music style, although for the moment my studies and exams are taking up a large slice of my time.
Another hobby close to my heart is watching (and pondering the plot twists and such of) good anime.
Anything else you'd still like to know? Or was that all too much?
