I'm new to the forum, thought I would say hello. I was recently introduced to goa/psytrance after visiting Ishkur's Guide to Electronic Music. I especially like the mixing of electric guitar and goa. I think when done right it sounds amazing. My favourite track is Electric Universe - Meteor. I also like artists like Infected Mushroom, Astral Projection and 1200 mics. From looking at the forums the music seems to be a constituent of a much wider culture, which intrigues me. Up here in Newcastle there doesn't seem to be much of a scene, although I'm not sure if it's my type of thing, for now I'm gonna sit back and enjoy the music!

You're right and wrong. The psytrance scene (which is dead, if rumour has it right, heh heh) isn't monocultural, it's more embracing than that. There is very little point in going to any psy parties if you have a problem with hippies, tho'!
