Heard an amazing track at Alternate Perception with a jazz melody in it....nearly cried with happiness.

Knowing so much about psytrance, I was just wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of some (decent) jazzy psytrance artists? Thanks :D

mmm depends what you mean by "jazzy" rilly...

loopus in fabula is class act i reckon, he sort of does funky jazz-tinged psytrance. not terribly dancefloory though. Sienis has jazzy moments... JuJu Space Jazz did an album on Matsuri, bit old now but still bonkers in a lysergic breakbeat speaker-melting sort of way

finnish stuff like luomohappo and the older exogenic stuff may tweak you right... otherwise Demon Tea releases, James Reipas is bloody good, Pelin Pala also. Also there's an artist called Prosect who'se done some stuff with an australian jazz musician and it's crazy-as, album's coming out soon on green ant

avoid skazi. and alien project :p

Tromesa had lots of jazz influences on pseudomental in a kind of muted trumpet wap-wap-waaaaaaap miles davis kind of good way. It's old now though, and not everyone's cup of cha.

Yup...thats what I mean. Proper black (non racist) jazz....*drools* Stuff that REALLY gets u wiggling :D

Someone mentioned KoxBox <-- I fink thats how u spell it, how the hell shud I know :p Anyone agree?

Thanks for ur help tho guys :)

Well....Chaos Unlimited is your best bet. Based in the UK and reliable. About 90% of my trance is from them, the rest is from other places such as Psyshop and Wirikuta. If I am unable to find what I want on Chaos for reasons such as limited supply or that the release has been deleted (which happens sometimes when your always looking for new music) then I try elsewhere.

Don't download!!!!! Keep our music alive :)
