Well thought I'd say hi as I've just got here. I'm pretty new to this psy/trance stuff so please be gentle with me:blink: . In fact it was the lovely Firinne who showed me the light on Saturday at the Tribe of Frogs thing in Bristol. I've normally dismissed this type of music:unsure: but after a brilliant weekend I've been converted. :jump:
My real name is Martin but after drunkenly agreeing (?) to be painted as a tiger on Saturday... "tiger" its gonna be. All I can say is growl............. some of you might have seen me.

I come from Essex but now live in Cardiff with my partner and our little boy. After going through several bad years I now live by the motto " You got to do it because you cant not do it", catchy I know! Hence the new experience this weekend.

My usual musical tastes are New Model Army, Nick Cave, Super Furry Animals and other such indie/goth/folk/rock type stuff. But I'm pretty well up for anything. So hi and please help me and convert away. :gonnasta:
 
Awww, it's soooo good to see you here and I'm really glad I converted you .. I've never had more fun at a party in my life, you're great stompy fun company!!!

I couldn't agree more on the "you've gotta do it motto", in fact I've adopted it, called it Katy and dressed it in fairy wings ..

You'll find a wide mix of musical tastes on here :) There's nothing "either/or" about it, and no conversion trip - it's possible to keep loving the music you always have and find room for psy as well.

Definitely, just never make the mistake of hitting "add all" to your MP3 player ... tracklistings like "New Model Army, All About Eve, Unconscious Collective, Levellers, Tron" are a recipe for cognitive dissonance :lol1:
 
Hey Tiger, mate, in the chill-out room, I was a bit dazed n confused, but you were chatting for a long time(til the end) to one of the lads I took up ..Laurie.

It was his first Psy night, Iv'e only met up with him a couple of times before, but he was pretty impressed with the night..hard not to be!

Ian (Yeovil) & myself are trying to make it a mission to convert the Dorsetshire masses... so far so good.
Hope you got back to Portsmouth,Bristol,Cardiff ok.!

You were confused I thought he was called James! :huh: Or that was his mate and other mate or something? Anyway got the train back from Bristol to Plymouth (just) so I could meet my mates who later drove us back to Bristol so I could get the train home to Cardiff. Now who's confused?

Thanks to you all for the welcome messages, bit more info then on my origins in Essex. Born & bred in Romford but escaped there about five years ago to the lovely Cardiff. Essex has some lovely parts which often get overlooked in the overflow of Essex Girl jokes. However Romford isn't that lovely and I only get back there 2 or 3 times a year.

So if anyone wants to know more:no: just shout.
