Here's the spiel.......

as brilliant as it is diverse, as accessible as it is daring, the cd is sure stand out as one of the most original and exciting releases of 2004.

keiretsu have been gigging around the uk solidly for the last 2-3 years. they've gone from the edinburgh festival to london's CARGO within a single weekend; supported London Elektricity, Calibre, the Lo-Fidelity All-Stars and more; and rinsed a countless stream of clubs and festivals in Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds, Brighton, Nottingham, Cambridge, Carlisle.....

on a mission to show what can be done by connecting the old-fashioned virtues of live instruments, songwriting and electrifying stage presence with the high-energy, full-frequency sensibilities of modern dancefloor drumnbass, breakbeat and 4/4, they've blown apart venue after venue: and now at last they've produced a cd which begins to capture the magic.

two years in the making, timestorm is their third cd release, following from their debut ep “vortex studies†and 2002’s follow-up, “seismosisâ€. ranging from mellow downtempo to high-octane drumnbass, and incorporating myriad touches of folk, jazz, latin, and much more, this album is as diverse as you'd expect from keiretsu. the overall sound, though, draws heavily on choral and classical music, with richly expansive, soaring harmonies.

Hey Soliptic.
I´m fucking impressed!!!!

fahrenheit 451

What a great tune! Really deep melody... :sun:

Congratulation Timestorm

'Obrigado' buddy, soliptic did the production on that track - basically restructured it from a 10-minute free-wheeling odyssey. the other guys in the band produced most of the others. check his remix of Ripples for some psy ;)

hehe. sax is being modest. yes, i produced 451, but I wouldnt have anything worth producing if HE hadnt laid down that staggeringly wonderful sax solo :)

Soliptic - I'm looking forward to seeing Keiretsu at SolFest, and pretty much any time y'all play the Brickyard :)

I've seen Keiretsu a few times (fucking amazing live!), and I have to say you guys deserve a better PA than I've ever heard you with (Brickyard and that funny party at Newby, with the oddball freaks who nicked my HAT!!! but I digress). The vocals get lost, but there's such a pumping vibe that I jus' jumps around anyway :)

Safe dude Newby was a cool night. The soundguy was having a bit of trouble that day, which could explain not hearing the vocals there. The other problem is having too damn many of us! Looking forward to Solfest we have a gig the day before too at a wedding so we won't be at the fest on Sat. Let's hope you won't need your hat weather-wise!

Sax James.
