latency with onboard sound

Hello peeps i have been using cubase sx recently and due to only having onboard sound at present and cant afford a decent sound card at the mo im gettin sound latency ,i have heard that there are some drivers that will lower this for me but i aint got a clue wat they are called or wat im looking for does anyone no anything about these drivers?? or maybe a link etc etc ?? thanks
