I've been comparing my psy tracks with the released ones (mastered) and there is a big difference in the amount of low frequences. My tracks are usually much heavier and bassier...
My question is: How the mastering process can affect this? Should I cut the low more, trying to get as close as possible to the released ones? Or should I expect the mastering to do that?

And another question on the same subject: Are the tracks played on a Live Act (the unreleased ones) mastered by the artist himself? Or maybe they are not mastered at all?

Thanks guys!

obs: Sorry about my english, it's not my first language... ;-)

depending on your monitoring set up you may be boosting low end to hear it....but id just try and get your mix sounding as good as possible and then lisening on different systems.

unreleased tracks played out are usually mastered by the artist himself....
