I cannot get only 10,it 's impossible!
To trim my list down I'll omit stoner even though I love it!!
And I'll get 20!!:D

2.Ulver(Nor)-1st album:Black-Folk,2nd:Accoustic NorseFolk,3rd: Primitive Black-4th:Experimental Trip hop/metal based on William's Blake Marriage of Heaven & Hell, 5th: Experimental Electronics in oppressive ambience, some EPs and 2 soundtracks in bleak ambience!!

3.In the Woods (Nor)- Psychedelic experience in despondency!

4.Lake of Tears (Swe)-Very groovy/anthemic in parts while sad,somehow

5.Entombed (Swe)-He! just drink your beer!!

6. Isis (USA)- Very layered sound with a great sense of dynamics!Journalists still trying to classify it!

7.Arcturus (Nor)- Spaced out baroque madness!

8.Neurosis (USA)-Tribal doomcore with some cellos/violins for enhanced effects!Visuals included!

9.Paradise Lost (old) (UK)- Got me into metal in the first place, enough said!

18.Gathering (Hol)-Best and sweetest female voice in psy-metal/rock!!

19.Candlemass (Swe)- Doom-Doom-Doom! Pt2!

20. At the Gates/The Haunted (Swe)- The originators of many great things in neo-thrash swedish death metal with a punch!

and...Septic Flesh...and...Pro-Pain...and Celestial Season...and...Psychotic Waltz...and...The Crown..and...Dissection..and.. oh I ll shut up now!!

and Megadeth were fucking brilliant!!(see I didn't shut up!)

And all Nu-Meatal is utter shit+can't say to people I am listening to metal cause they understand totaly different things!!Same happens with psy trance of course, nevermind!

:punk: :punk: :punk:

9.Paradise Lost (old) (UK)- Got me into metal in the first place, enough said!

Mate, when I went to Donnington one year Kerrang were dishing out 7" vinyls with Paradise Lost and Murder Inc on them...fantastic, still got one. Other things of note from that weekend were Urk trying to cook a tin of beans over a zippo on the parcel shelf of my Austin Allegro (matt brown 1.5 flying turd no less) and said Allegro being used to shuttle about 20 people at a time to and from the bogs and being given a free beer container for "making it there in a leggy".

Entombed? Candlemass? The Haunted? :punk: :punk: They all live on my hard drive somewhere :D

Since u mentioned Megadeth,The train of consequences:(it's the one in the middle!!)

Why Thanx Red Five, I think its part of the Aries trait

You've made my day :D :partysmi: :wizard1:

Here we go, in no particular order:
Cacaphony (oh the ricidulous shredly goodness!)
Fates Warning
Queensrhyche
Dream Theater
Megadeth
Metallica before they became Metallicrap (i.e., pre-1990)
King Diamond (GraAAAAAAANDMAAAA!)
Living Colour ("Stain" rocked)!
select Pantera
Sevendust
Steve F**king VAI! :punk:

There's a ton more, but they're all not purely metal, like Mr. Bungle is all over the map stylistically, for example... plus, I dig Opeth's Damnation, but I haven't heard any of their death metal stuff yet.

Wow there's a ton of stuff I've never heard of here. I gotta go check it out!!
