not very psychedelic but still a great expereince all the same.......... [/quote:5d55fe6236]
I met a member of Void (don't know which member though) at an Enslaved gig a year or so, I seem to remember him nagging my friend for a piece on his spliff - he wouldn't take no for an answer! Seemed like quite an odd guy, so I wasn't too surprised when I saw more than slightly strange promo photo of the band in Terrorizer a few months later....

Anyway, regarding the orignal topic -

In no particular order:

Ulver
Xasthur
In The Woods
Electric Wizard
Khanate
Hate Forest

Can't think of anything else that I truly appreciate at the moment - I think I might be going off metal....

Nice mate! ;)

Sad nothing else sparks your interest!

Am still totally up for my psy trance, my chill outs, my metal, my deep fried southern boogie, my stoner etc and I demand more & more funds to keep things going!

So as it is it will be beneficial for your bank account! :lol1:

Theres definately other stuff I listen to and enjoy, but I'm finding a lot of the metal I hear just doesn't grab me the same way a lot of the techno/psy I've been buying recently. Theres a lot of metal out there that has interested me, I just haven't been able to explore it fully...

I think money/time restraints have a lot to do with it - it's hard enough keeping up with 1 genre, let alone 2 or more.

And by the way, if you like Ulver & In The Woods, you might be interested in my band - we've got a demo available that has been fairly well recieved by those who have heard it. It's available on mp3 from our website too, so if you have the time, give them a listen!

Only fairly well received?
Man it's the fourth time in a row am spinning Mysterium!! (fifth now!)
That's so great!! Who's the drummer btw? He's got his kit blazing! Amazing! Great vocals as well, all over the place!
If I may draw parallels that would be "Heart of Ages" from In the Woods coupled with Primordial's pagan vibe!
Love it! :punk:
Downloading track 2 now!
Got any contract yet?
What do you play?

Cheers for the link dude!

Glad you like it.
The drummers a mate of mine, we were in a band together previous to this one, in which I play guitar.
The comparisons you make are encouraging, the sort of atmosphere created by the bands you mentioned is what we are striving for. I think we're refining our sound as we go on, too (that last recording is about a year old now).

Haven't really got anywhere in terms of labels etc. yet - we've got a re-issueing of the current demo coming up, but thats a fairly small scale affair. Still, there's a lot of people/places that we'd like to send a copy, but haven't got round to it (we're very lazy in that respect) and if the responses we've had so far are anything to go by, someone out there might be interested in helping us out...
