PC and Mac the rest are consoles or proper workstations/servers.

Most of have gone beyond the thumb twiddling stage, unless it is with
friends :Wink3:

Horris goes skiing!
Battlezone!
chain reaction!

Asteroids all the way - play it Here :Smile3:

Defender too, tho' it was slower on BBC machines.

BBC man myself, although I got a speccy for the nostalgia in the mid 90's.

so.

BBC

1) Imogen (tasty freeware remake available HERE
2) Firetrack (wikid wikid muzak!)
3) Ricochet

There are soooooooo many others. I really want a top 10!

Speccy:

1) Driller (WOW!!! A FPS about five years to early. So far ahead of its time it is just silly)
2) Bard's Tale Series. (Still some of the best RPG games ever made)
3) Impossible Mission II

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis

Gah - the only Lucasfilm/LucasArts adventure I can't remember how to complete off by heart.

It's been my life's mission to find or build a rubber chicken with a pulley in the middle...

On the subject of oldschool let's here it for Jeff Minter! Ace hippy psychedelic coder extraordinare of Llamasoft fame.

His new visualisation software is coming built into the X-Box360 and it looks proper fookin bostin.

Screenshots here: http://www.llamasoft.co.uk/neon-screenshots.php
There are links to a video of it in action too.

Great to see him getting commisioned to do something on a platform that is actually going to be released, his Nuon stuff was reportedly mindblowing, as was Unity and his Atari Jaguar VLM (released but might as well not have been) gave the world some of the fundamental visualisation techniques still used today.

Remember kids, Buy X-Box360 - invest in Minter.

I've got a fucking beauty port of Lemmings on my mobile phone. It's also got Monkey Island 1 & 2, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Day of the Tentacle, Puzzle Bobble and a gameboy emulator complete with Mario and Bomberman.

What the hell kinda smart phone have you got there, then? I'm stuck with my trusty 3210.
