DJ NANOOK

Ah that's rare skills there eh - I think bicyclists say something like 'Chapeau!' as a mark of respect and it seems appropriate here

"Chapeau: a french term for which basically means hats off. Its used by the more cultured of the cycling community but id like to see it become more widespread. Chapeau to to the lad who still enters time trials despite finishing 15minutes after the marshals have gone home just cos he loves cycling! Chapeau to the cyclist who gets dropped in a race and still finishes it out arriving in 2 hours after the sandwiches are eaten. Chapeau to the attacker at the start of a days racing knowing the potential for pain could be beyond what he is willing to endure. Next time you're out cycling go alongside someone and throw a “chapeau” their way."

The tracks there are on-point and that's a lot of digging to find stuff at that level - plus the flow is perfect - invisible Jedi level mixing too

You're too kind, sir.
I'm humbled.
Thank you for listening, and for your feedback :Smile3:

Preview of my 2nd album, up now on SoundCloud.
I hope you guys like. ..please feel free to leave comments and feedback.
Details of the full release, soon :Smile3:

Quality album. It has its own spirit, but out of context if someone said I was listening to unreleased OliverLieb I'd go with that. Particularly liked the playfulness of the percussion and the whole thing just flows real well. Skills!

aww...That made my day.
All it takes is one comment like that to make me consider writing a 3rd album.

<edit>....and I just spotted you purchased it via Bandcamp. Given the quality of your collection on there, I'm humbled.

Thank you :Smile3:

I'll be downgrading my Bandcamp to a standard account (not 'Pro'), around Christmas time and doing some rebranding (which will involve taking down some of my music)
I'll also be pulling down the website for some serious maintenance and updating (yey!) ...
If you don't own my full back-catalogue of tunes, now is the chance to grab them. 35% off the whole catalogue, including 2 full albums, until 1st December.

Hope to see a few of you at Beat-herder this year?
If not... crank this Nanook mix up and have a wiggle at home instead :Smile3:

For those that don't follow me on Facebook or Mixcloud.... you may not have spotted....
But I've been doing a monthly mix via MC.

Have a listen to the latest one here....and check the "Techno 2019" playlist, to catch up with the rest :Smile3:

The final mix (part 11)... of the 2019 Nanook Mix Series.
A compilation of all my fave tracks from the year.
...some were originally released as early as 2016, but enjoyed a re-release more recently.
As they played such a big party of my DJing this last year... I couldn't omit them on a technicality!
Either way, this is a good cross-section of the stuff I was playing through the year!
I hope you enjoy!

New DJ Set for you... as a bit of a teaser for the Kulu 20th Birthday Party .. 13/3/20 .. At the Mill, Bradford.
I'll be playing 1am-2.30am in the middle room.
Depending on the vibe... expect silky proggy groovers... or banging acid floor fillers and a splattering of classics.
Hope to see you there, and if you enjoy the mix, give it a share :Smile3:

I thought some of you may appreciate a non-meme, / "real" update for a change....
Maybe 1 or 2 of you anyway lol.
.
Progress on the 3rd album has been sloooooooooow....mainly because im a wee bit out of practice!
I'm somewhere between "remember how to produce, Chris" ....and "this is proper mint, but a bit rough" ...
.
The other factor is moving house and all that sort of gubbins getting in the way.
On the plus side, Im making use of all the patchy 20 mins here and there that I have. Its not enough to get in too a serious work-flow....but enough to do some research and remind myself of the masters.
.
On that note, I've been MEGA loving delving in to my old jazz collection.
So much fun, so much innovation. ...man...some of it still sounds fresh 60 years later!
.
Potential clue as to where my head is at creatively at the moment (and I guess a life lesson from my last few months) - Find someone that looks at you, the way Dave Brubeck looks at Paul Desmond lol
