i found an old tune of mine whilst backing stuff up last week and decided to give it a bit of a revamp. see what ya think cos im currently remastering the old tune as it was, same notes just more electronic styleeeeeee

Your track sounds like you described: Oldschool. Your real influences you can not cover. I like the 303 line (Rebirth?) and the broken melody in the background. This is one of the few breakbeat tracks i like but not my general taste of music. Oh.. sudden death! Why it stops so hard?

Nic etune but my only grip was that the piano was to dry IMHO and sounded like it was out side of the mix. Kind of like someone was playing a piano along to a cd rather than as part of it.

tomstoned: sorry i didnt make it very clear, i was talking aboot the orchestral thing, so which one was you advising on? i welcome all costructive criticism so if i know i can maybe improve that one.

psyfi: would more verb help the piano sit better? as i said this tune was not originally written for orchestra so that may be the problem (lost in translation).

Yes Some reverb to help stretch the notes out more.
Get the piano and put it in a big tin can.
