hello there fellow psy-fruitlets!

just a quick introduction from myself (since i have already been lurking on the forum for a while)...

i am a 28 year old south african / greek girl recently relocated to the uk. i moved here to be closer to all my family and my significant other. its been difficult leaving south africa, and particularly my home in cape town. this is largely due to the connections i have shared with phenomenal people i met within the psy-community and the memories that we made in the most spectacular outdoor trance parties. i truly was spoilt for choice and blessed with the most delicious sounds and connections.

that said, change brings growth.

i am excited about being in the uk, and hope to find some like minded folk to connect with on this end of the world. also can't wait to do the glade, omni, voov, boom festivals!

and its off to a good start methinks.. on my flight moving over here, i met Colin OOOD while waiting in the queue for the plane loo (of all places!!). i had had a farewell wiggle with all my friends in cape town at a Groovy Troopers/ Kwik-kut party and he was playing there, also returning to the uk on the same flight. he mentioned this site to me, and i am reeeeeeeeeeeeally happy that there is such a gathering of people that share enough common interests to be a community, yet remain so distinct bringing their own magic into the pot.

since being here, i have gone to earthdance at the rocket complex *pop*pop*pop*, and to the ally pally party....

hope to meet some of you soon..
will be moving into london from buckinghamshire in mid-jan .. yayayay!!!

Halooo and welcome!

If you ever fancy a break from London, there's oodles of us psy-forumers here not far away in Oxfordshire (including myself, Tortoise, The Phonographist, Monster, Jodha, ClosetHippy, Faster as well as many others I think) to visit (and places to crash can easily be sorted out amongst us - we've had many vists from psy-forumers), and of course there's the most excellent monthly Baraka psy-trance night:

Thank you, thank you, thank you FlameBoy!!!

I will most *definitely* take you up on this offer..
What still amazes me (without sounding floopity here :jump: ) is the welcoming nature, trust and openness of psy-folk across the globe...

After going to my first trance party (quite by chance), I was hooked and couldn't wait to go to another. But somehow, I just couldn't get myself to go on my own (even tho I knew the folk there would be welcoming and that I would be safe -- guess I am having a similar situation here). So, having joined a mailing list back home to try find the psy-folk near me, I privately emailed a fellow listee and asked her if I could come pitch my tent with hers. She was such a gem, and not only welcomed me, but picked me up and we travelled together... I now consider her to be one of my most treasured and precious friends and look sooooooo forward to meeting more of the same ilk in this neck of the woods.... so again, Thank You!!

Would *love* to come to a Baraka party... And just as a (related) aside, the movie Baraka is on telly this eve at midnight on National Geographic.

Highly recommended watch!!

*merry bounces and muchly appreciative*
