Anyone know of any producers and or DJ's that produce Psy-Breakbeats?? I love the clarity of Psy production sound, but also am totally hooked on filthy breakbeats. Any cross-over would be majik to my ears.

Dorset Perception and a few tunes by a guy called 'Fat Hippie' are really good but thats about as far as my tunes/sets go into psychedelica at the moment!! Any help or recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks.

PS - Prob wrong forum, apologies Im new!!!

voilet vision (from israel) are emerging (apparently) as a breakbeaty trance crossover thing -- recent remix of infected mushroom cities of the future suggested that's the way they're going, but IMO not quite up there yet... definitely try before you buy

otherwise... hmm, bit stumped; but have a listen to VV see what you think :)

I have quite a lot of 10 Kilo already, thanks for that though tweaka. ;)

There's a label called Rebel Beats that are doing some nice tranced out vibes I have dug up.

new album out on Timecode (south africa) ... 'Broken' is full of breaks with some deep psychedelic grooves, some tracks on the album are a lot better than others ... Broken Toy stands out ...
Violet Vision are pretty good, their album out last year on BNE was nice, they also did a great remix of Infected's 'Deeply Disturbed' but i have to agree the recent remix of Cities of the Future is not the best ...
few tracks here and there on albums, check Hydrophonic's recent album, track 9 is a corker !!

xx

check Deviant Electronics album on Blue Room...only problem is that label went under years ago and now it's tricky to get their releases. ah well if u do get hold of it, should be up your street. Some nice breakbeat tracks at the end of Clangour compilation on Boshke Beats.

and keep an eye out for the new X-Dream album, some filthy breks on there ;)
check out The 1st, the new X-Dream 12" in the meantime

evil nine are genrally commercial (whilst underground?) breaks but have some really good tracks that are on the breaks/psy boarderline. You will have to fish about tho most of thier stuff is like i say popular breaks stuff.
one track that sicks out is Steve Bug & DJ T - Monsterbaze (Evil Nine Rmx) , if u can get that you will know what i mean! I wouldent call it dirty, thier production is spot on but has nice psy sounds and grooves!

Invaluable - I will check this stuff out. Is Most of this available of wax or is it mainly CD format??

Cheers Paradice, got a lot of Evil 9 already, Love the McMillan n Tab RMX of theirs ; Above the Clouds.

Cheers guys :)

Theres a lovely track by De-Fex called Another World on the 13th Moon (Interchill) Album, which I think is a side project of Merv Pepler from Eat Static.

Broken on Timecode records may be what you need, 11 brand new tracks of break-beat madness put together mostly by a bunch of SA psy-trance wizards and a few others.

Filthy beats backed up with psy madness!

:speaker:

Look out for the Tone Deaf Junkies tracks, don't know where they've been hiding but they've definitely been busy boys, as for Spindle Sect Vs Artifakt -- Numnema, well it's just amazing and very different, in fact I don't want to give the game away about it really.

ps: :welcome: to the forum

Check out Acid Lab - Route 303

XDream track ... i forget it's name (!!) but i have it on vinyl and it's also on Blue Room - More Signs of Life comp ...

:smoke:

xx

Not forgetting 21:3 records. Probably out of print, but excellent psy-breaks. ;)

WooOOoop - Thanks again for your insight chaps and chapette's. I will let you all know what I end up with. Like the sound of Broken. And like the sound of CDs purely cos they are lighter than wax!!! Cheers me dears :)

Check out Elite Force's remix of Trekk Far, Meak Katie's and Christian J's remix of Magnolia's "It's all vain".
Donna Kebab "I feel love" bootie is an oldie that is very nice as is Phalse Prophet's remix of Stir Fry's "Breaking in the Streets" which in my opinion is one of THE most psychedelic pieces of music.
Stereo 8's remix on Orbital's "One Perfect Sunrise" is dope.
Soul Of Man's tunes are very psychedelic as well, on a different tip than the breaks that people have mentioned here.
Donna Kebab
Artists like Meat Katie, sHack (Elite Force), Christian J, Will "Phalse Prophet, PMT, Dirk Technic" Brummer, SOM are some artists that put out belters that can give you proper religious experiences on the dancefloor.
