I've really enjoyed it so far. Read your article first, then started reading the first article.

I really liked your article. It is a fascinating subject and one that I have experience of and am very interested in learning more about, particularly I found it interesting to read about the comparison between psychedelic experiences and psychosis as quite often other, non-psychedelic drugs are cited as possibly being able to cause psychosis. The examination of just psychedelic drugs and their relation to psychosis is an angle I agree with and am very interested in, having come from a psychedelic angle to drugs.

There was one thing you wrote that I disagreed with, that I have tried to find again but can't quite remember which bit it was. I'm pretty sure it was towards the end of one of the pages on the left-hand side, but can't seem to find it. if I remember I'll let you know.

All round a great article, and a fascinating zine. Will continue to read more of it.

Ah ok. I think it could potentially have been:

'A lack of information on such things as how to treat someone who is having a 'bad trip' does correlate closely to how one may treat a person who is having a psychotic/schizoid episode.'

I agree i was being vague here. I meant that in dealing with hallucinations/loss of contact with reality (and all that entails)/feelings of persectuion etc, all brought on in a rapid and highly confusing manner, the basic outline to help the person involved is initially harm reduction and then, perhaps, some form of sedation. From here, depending on what the problem at hand is, treatment will be different. So perhaps the sentence could of read:

A lack of information on such things as how to treat someone who is having a 'bad trip' does initially correlate closely to how one may treat a person who is having a psychotic/schizoid episode.

    Does that sound better?

As a bit of news aswell. PsyPress have their own youtube channel up!

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCf8Lxtz_OQT19eFef8BYnxQ

Its a bit sparse as of yet, but new stuff will get added to it.

Just remember that PsyPress is a platform for all sorts of ideas, people and perspectives. Its primarily a source of information and doesnt necessarily adhere to all of the views expressed by its contributors. What you get from it is down to you as the reader/listener.

For example, ive hit overload on stuff about ayahuasca. There's a certain catholic original sin thing going on with it from some areas - We are sick! Here's the panacea!

Yup I think that makes more sense, I would agree with that. Especially if the sufferer of psychosis entered into drugs from the psychedelic angle, which is what my experience was, then there is a need to tackle issues of psychedelic experience as well as psychosis and mental illness/health.

Guys, I just don't know where to ask and open a new topic. I see you have a talent for writing essays. I have never done it beautifully and I envy those who easily write beautiful and interesting texts. I am a student and I have little left to finish my studies. Now I want to throw off the paperwork a little bit. Do you know anything or have heard about the service www.nerdywriters.co.uk? Thank you in advance for any advice.

Getting someone else to write it for you?!

If you even conceive of that idea then you quite obviously aren't interested in 'writing beautifully'

    start writing!

    Practise. Practise. Think. Think. Practise

Keep reading. Write about what you know.

All you need is a pen and paper. Books, pen and paper.

You dont even need a computer.

Write when you feel inspired. Have a notebook ready all ways.

When you read your favourite writer writing so well dont assume that such grace happened over night. It will have been written and re-written and tinkered with for hours - sometimes years. Its just we dont get to see that part of the process. We just get the finished product.
