    i absolutley love the versatility of this soft synth, but - is there a synth out there that does this sort of thing in hardware?

    Good question. Isnt "graintable" pretty much a Propellorheads (well, that Waldorg uy they nicked to make Maelstrom) invention?

    There's a Korg Wavestation for wavetable, and something like the Neuron is probably nutty enough to appropximate the Maelstrom one way or another. Dont know any hardware with granular aspects to it, I'd certainly be interested to learn
