Very often I come home from work tired and a little stressed out. 8 hrs work and I don't agree. A antiquated relic from the dark ages when time was discovered................. thats work not me... ta :D

I have recently discovered that listening to the likes of Younger Brother and (yes I'll mention his name... hope his head doesn't expand.. :) ) Ott, to relax in the evening. Don't want to leave Shpongle out either :smokingr:

My problem is that if I continue to listen to these few albums I will soon burn them out. I'll be so fed up of them that I'll be giving Ott his album back at the next gig I see him at which would be in quite a while because I won't want to go near the guy again if I'm going to have to hear his music. :!:

So after all that my question :- can anyone recommend other albums that are as entertaining, about the same beat range and interesting to listen to other than these please?

Natural Born Chillers compilation on Aleph Zero

Psymeditation on Organic (though this is a bit more laid back than the stuff you mention)

A lot of people like Shulman as a shpongle substitute, but its a little too linear for me

If you like the world/dub music tinged stuff then try Gaudi's Bass, Sweat & Tears.

You can check samples of this stuff on chaosunlimited.co.uk or amboworld.com or psyshop.com or saikosounds.com... check before you buy cos i think chillage is a very personal, subjective thing

I'm really feeling the VA - Chillosophy comps at the moment :)

Abakus - Igamatik also :)

eugh im in such a soppy mood at the moment!

I dont really like the whole floaty-zero beats - ambling music - i do like my chillout to have a bit of a beat to it also :)

some of the cafe del mar comps are also good - specifically numbers 7, 9, 10.

some wkd tracks to be found on those three :)

Hi albs;

Try Phutureprimitive - 'Subconcious' on waveform records; you can get this from amazon, and maybe chaos have it now - (the should have - this is amazing psy chill!). I have been ranting about this cd for months; it is quite dark and brooding, but believe me the huge psychedelic imagination of this guy is jaw-dropping...

Also for very slow dub-beats and for pure relaxation try Stress Assasin - Within The Office of Eye & Ear... on SpiralTrax. Probably one of my most played cds at home - very deep and relaxing, really slow beats and wandering echos of space and time! The newer cd Carriertrack is also really nice, still maintaining the chilled dub vibe.

For sure Gaudi - amazing release from Interchill. They are fast becoming unstoppable at releasing great releases...

(check my thread about chill/ambient section for more of my faves!)

Happy glistening..... :) :D

Anything on Liquid Sound Design should fit the bill too. There's also Hallucinogen in Dub, since you say you like Ott but don't mention it. All totally :smokingr:

:dito:

Abakus album

Wider Horizons compilation
Butterfly dawn compliation

all on L>S>D Records

The Orb - Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld
UF Orb
System 7 - Point 3:Water
Point 3:Fire

I found the same mate, you start getting in to Shpongle and then all of a sudden all other music is uninteresting in comparison! I think I'm out of it now though...

:D Many thanks to you all for your recommendations. :smokingr:

Should have plenty to choose from and lots of new stuff to listen too... yippee :jump:
Thanks again
Albs ;)

Not forgetting 'Mystical Experiences' by 'The Infinity Project' :sun:
