at the weekend a mate leant me "dj krush - jacu" and i just had to recommend it very strongly because its BLOODY BRILLIANT
its basically really nice headnodding downtempo / triphop a bit like kruder&dorfmeister sorta stuff, but with some extraordinary japanese musicians (jazz pianist and saxophonist - those two tracks are absolutely jaw dropping - and a flute and shakuhachi player - which give it the (perhaps tenous) shpongle touch). the extremely epic and cinematic feel also reminds me of the cinematic orchestra, amon tobin, dj food and the best of ninja tune.
i think its a fair bet if you like *any* of the above comparisons you may well really enjoy this cd.
released for sony/columbia in 2004, btw.
