Recording a mix CD

I've recently recorded a mix to CD by taking the output from the mixer and feeding it into the input in my laptop. Works well except it is mono input.

Is there anyrthing I can buy so I can get stereo input (without buying a new soundcard?)

If it's a mono input socket on the laptop then you can't turn that into a stereo one. Get a cheap USB soundcard with a stereo input.

most laptops have a mono mic input and stereo headphone/output.

5.1 USB soundcards go for about £30 on ebay, i got one for about £40 on amazon.co.uk only cos i needed it like "now you shitty internet!! NOW!!!" and it arrived in about a day and a half.
