recently i've had a problem with recording in Cubase SX2. when i listen back to recordings, they're completely fuzzy and distorted, incessantly clicking. i'm running instruments through my behinger MX3282A mixer and then to my Terratec EWS88MT soundcard, then into cubase. wierder still... sometimes it records fine... but more often than not its totally crap. i've tried the project settings, made sure i'mr recording as wav files in 44,100Khz.
another thing which i noticed is that i'll record something, and as soon i press stop to stop recording i can see the recorded wave actually change shape slightly. a strange one.

anyone got any ideas?

you were also having probs with Waves, si?
Check for spyware and viruses.
Nuke the box and reinstall...

ah waves problems sorted, but only cause i got a new version...
my computer hasnt been on the net for a year but i will have a scan for any shit.
this recording problem is a bit of a wierd one though

i used to have a similar problem recording in Cubase 5 when the cpu meter was running too high - figured that i had to turn off all the instruments whilst recording.....perhaps you have tried that already?
