Si Splatt

Ganesh gently pats Si on the head to reasure him that he need not fear Keeeerazy Eddy's levitating decks

"Keeeerazy Eddy's levitating decks"

surely that has to be the name of a tune...it's a corker!

good to see this thread run and run!

as we all well know...si is INDEED too "psy" for the internet...he's always too busy mixing and/or delving into the morphogenetic field for tasty nuggets of glistening tunage to unleash on the unsuspecting public.

his last cabbage set was a triumph...with the new sound system opening up exciting new vistas of sound..

deserves much bigger gigs and less opening slots....he also plays mainroom sets that rival anyone elses i have ever heard

nice plug chris

si was last spotted
"trance dancing" to the wondeful pitch black a the "rough beats" festival in clapham on the much disputed yorks/lancs border

he's far too trance for the internet!!!

Can't resist bumping this thread.

I've been totally absorbed by several of Si's back room sets now, as well as the main room set he played in February at Cabbage. I wholeheartedly agree with all the good things that have been said. Si produces such wonderfully crafted sets time after time and I'm always amazed at the number of tunes that are new to me. Last Saturday night I stayed for the whole set and recognised exactly one tune. Where does he find it all?

Plus he's one of the nicest people I know :iyes:

Top bloke, top DJ; another big up for Si

(And I know he'd be really embarrassed to read this, don't tell him...)

Tell me about it!!!
Ive been lucky enough to play at same nights as Si a few times, but the one that stands out was 'Further' when it was still in Leeds......I stood gob-smacked for 2 hours and didnt even recognise one tune! (was great to hear him over Funktion 1 too !!! hehe :)

..im gonna print this out and post it to him....changing all the posts to your name!!! (hehe :D

Si, one of the North's most secret weapons, comes equipped with his own arsenal of secret weapons of mass dancing. :iwink:

I'm hoping he starts to properly get to grips with music production, since I reckon he'd be quite capable.

He's been doing some stuff with Bez(23) apparently, but I don't know if any of it has come in for a landing so-to-speak.

heard a tune they been working on and its bloody good I tell thee

...spoke to him yesterday about this and he seems to be gradually putting more time aside. Seems VERY busy with Roly and the workshop tho ....

 I told him he'd been getting some nice comments about his set on the forum. He just shifted uneasily in his chair and gave me an uncomfortable sideways look, sort of half embarrassed and half pleased. He's such a little gem ;)

Si seems to have done well at the last Cabbage!

Thanks Chris! - for the link to this thread. So nice to read all these lovely comments about Si - We love him!. :ikiss:

We did think that his set was the best of the night at the last Cabbage and I was going to post about it earlier but got a bit shy when all the big boys started "debating" the merits of old RR's DJing skills. :ilol:

I was also fortunate to be at Si's previous main room Cabbage set and to be honest his name in the main room lineup was wot swung it for us to make the trip up to Cabbage again. Wow what a man! You have to get him in there more often. Fantastic journey and I was getting more and more spannered - purely on the music. Managed a complete kundalini moment (without any chemical assistance) - bliss!. :sun:
