haha yeah I probably would actually,

Skazi and Alien vs Cat, don't float my boat at all....
And I will be well pissed up, so driving anywhere is out of the question
Besides don't know if I can afford the petrol to japan even if some m8s club together.

Rock on Solstice!! :badger: was expecting a 3rd release and it looks hot, compiled by Dimitri too. Seems like some of my fave acts have been busy with all these releases... :Wink3:

bring it on! :drinking:

hehe. i would rather be at home with my turey and cheesey christmas songs feeling very fat and ill. just how it should be :Smile3:

wouldn't miss it for the world :Smile3:

er, sorry on topic, may have to give this 1 a go. looks like the 'good' full on hehe

Recieved this yesterday as a Japanese Import thru www.juno.co.uk
((they also have the etnica album on solstice, earlier than UK shops))
Paid a few quid more for it (about £15) but hey who cares... (my bank manager maybe oops)
Here is my first impressions only had one listen so far...

01. DEEDRAH - FREE MOTHERFUCKERS
phat slower 140bpm track, loadsa fresh ideas and interesting arrangement,
very good track for me, some interesting melodic lines.

02. PIXEL & CYCLIC - NUCLEAR DEVICE
solid trippy trance track, nice use of vocal samples,
and spot on quality with the drum programming and perc.

03. JOTI SIDHU - BLACK EYES
a bit too techno for me, repeats and repeats too much,
driving but bit too straight and linear, on some noises.
does have some of the joti 303 power, but not as much as usual,
maybe all the good trax went on his album.

04. WRECKED MACHINES - ECHO GROOVE
phat solid with wrecked machines production quality stamped on,
not my fav from him for a while though, the neurobiotic comp trax shines more.
again maybe all the good trax went on his album.

05. HUJA BOY - JUST A FREAK
again bit too techno for me.
although probably my fav hujaboy trax so far, interesting raw synth lines,
somehow seems a little home made though.

06. INTELABEAM - BE SOMEBODY
really like this, unusual bassline as usual for this guy, interesting ideas, really love his work, has a unique and different quality about it,
just seems to be lacking a bit of drive for the dancefloor.

07. THE ANTIDOTE & DIMITRI - DISTORTION
wicked, gets kinda messy for a bit, but not just a standard antidote trak,
dimitri influence, acid tweaks on top of dirt distortion and all round great fun.
good trak for me.

08. PSYSEX & ROCKY - BRENNER POWER
very good quality production, but sounds a little bit too much like the last few psysex compilation traks, is this guy running out of ideas?
seemed to peak on the cut up crazyness of the hardcore blastoff album.
I heard he is teaming up with Pixel as the "unstables", maybe it might get the creativeness flowing.

09. SYNTHETIC - SPACE IS DA PLACE!
phat, slower, grown up work from deedrah, who's traks shine on the compilation as being slightly more serious. not dance floor fodder, but a good home listen,
more house\techno influences, but this time synthetic has melody as well!

10. TRISTAN - ACTIVATE YOURSELF
nice deep quality kit from tristan, not a huge departure but still well cool, flowing and psychedelic. nice finish to the album, doesn't make me wanna mix it but nice listen.

Good compilation, maybe a great compilation but needs some more listens to get a really good feel for it. A little too techno for me at times.
Favs at the moment are: Deedrah, Pixel vs Cyclic, Intelabeam, Antidote vs Dimitri, and Synthetic.

Cheers Wiff, I'm not going to buy it now..

..but I am going to download, copy and distribute it from my disabled raceist lesbian iraqee friend and kill the scene.

where is it :sob:

spent hours trying to find the fucker!

U been looking on www.juno.co.uk Red Five???

If so they have definetly sold out...

I get emails from them which said it was coming into stock,
but I found it on there site by just putting "solstice" in the search box.

They still have stock of the Etnica album on import, and that came into stock the same day I got Holgraphic 3... and Etnica isn't for sale in the normal UK shops yet either...
(Maybe Damions review means they can't shift it...)

They restock on Mondays at Juno try then I suppose?? :!:

((It is good though, runs for cover))
