Wow!

THIS is the CD I've been waiting for! It sounds so fresh and sweet! Sure to influence a lot of psy-trance producers in the near future.
I heard their single, "ra he-ya" first, and that is so catchy I had to get the CD, but unfortunately there is only a short "TV edit of ra he-ya on here.
Still, it's worth it anyway cos the rest of the tracks are nearly as good. The bass is absolutely beautiful, :D . There is also a lot of attention to detail in little psy effects and weirdness which reminds me of Infected, but a lot smoother than their recent work, to my ears.

Some may find it a little on the commercial side, with vocals on a couple of tracks, but don't be put off, they're sung by Michele Adamson, so you can't really go wrong!... I can't imagine too many people actually DISliking this CD.

1 ON THE GROUND
2 BLOX LOGGERS
3 BUTTERSONIC
4 7TH SON (FEAT. MICHELE ADAMSON)
5 WET
6 DROID SAVE DA' QUEEN
7 WHAT'S IN YOUR MIND
8 PROGRAM FLIES
9 OUT OF SERENADES
10 EL NOVASION (TRANCE MIX)

apologies if this review is a little rushed but I just got the CD and I love it so much I had to write something quickly!!

:tongue1:

I totally agree with your comments Kurt, i've been eagerly anticipating this album but it's a bit hit 'n' miss. There are so many better examples of their work which would have been ideal for a debut album.
Buttersonic and Droid are the faves for me too

They're still great though :jump:

Still making my mind up only heard this twice and haven't really given it the attention it deserves... But initial impressions follow this thread really... Good phat sound worx well thru the CD, but didn't blow me away like I was expecting, I fink these boys have been burning themselves out on amazing compilation tracks... Will give it a bit of a track by track when Iv'e really listened properly! :!:

(Buttersonic\Droid are highlights for me too, along wiv whats in your mind and program flies)

Hmmm,

You know if it's right the first time pretty much, let's be honest.. It can grow on you, but so can scabies.... or algae.

I agree with the "burnt themselves out". Hot property like them feels obliged to release it all... Now we will all judge them, each with our opinions...

Take Domestic for example...

Top of his production game - every release is ledgendary - with few exceptions - but you get the impression he's in it for the long term. With respect, Sub 6 gave it all away too soon...

I'm sure they'll continue to advance, but you can't help but put them in the "gonna listen properly when I get the time" case of CD's...

By the way, I think Domestic rocks.... Which one You ask...?

Exactly.. ;)

:smoke:

hmm... ok so maybe I need to check out their compilation tracks!! :D
To be honest I don't buy a lot of CDs cos not many of them really stand out for me.
I reckon this one sounds pretty fresh, but maybe not if you've got a lot of their tracks already.
Definitely agree about buttersonic and droid and I really like Blox Loggers too.

Ive listened to this album inside out for the last week or so and im totally loving it!
Its very unique and has hints of Infected with Fat bass and killer percussion , you can just tell these tracks are gonna rip up dancefloors and i love the weird fast dub fusion with Michelle singing, its real catchy! Droid Save The Queens the Best track for me and the rest are close behind, im not dissapointed at all, its a different sounding album to what i expected and its definately grown on me! :lol1:

Domestic/Pixel are fantastic!!

I wonder how long SUB6 will make psytrance for? They are certainly very talented musicians and they are rinsing the circuit at the mo..... perhaps they'll move on to another genre when they're ready????

think i need to listen to 'natural waves of sound' again ;)

im also well into pixel at the mo...
but more his collaborations with other artsists

just too much sick music out there to sample...
guys, use DC++...
its a really good thing to find every tune that is out there, honest...
