What a great idea! Now, we all know that parties stive to create a full sensory expereince, blending the audio and visual till they merge into one lysergic soup of consciousness. The best party crews oprate at the boundary level, using fluoro decor and live mixed animated visuals to accompany the music. Now a team out in Oz have put together a DVD will visuals written alongside the music to create a great immersive experience (or just something phatty to watch when baked, init) The tunes come courtesy of Mr.Peculiar and they are pretty damn good thanks very much! His album 'Elements' on Tribeadelic records was a killer and it's great to hear more from him. Joining the double header is The Shapeshifter providing the visuals and pretty cracking they are too! The elements are tied to the music and so provide a narrative as the tunes unfold and progress. Detailed and well rendered they really add to the music and combine to create something which transcends them both.

Putting audio and video together in something that can be watched at home is great - kind of like recreating the club in the comfort of your own home with the added bonus that the only sofa isn't perpetually filled with random munters, there's no queue for the toilet, which doesn't smell like a yak's pocket, and you won't get slimed by a sweaty raver trying to squeeze past you through your living room door.

So, all in all a great package which is set firmly along the route which many will no doubt follow of extending the psychedelic expereince into the multi-layered sensory realm.

My only quibble is that you can't play the tunes as audio so I'm going to have to record the audio from the laptop so i can play the tunes. Apart from that I think it's wicked and I hope he'll be adding a uk date to his European tour in autumn

This is a superb DVD. Whilst the Solstice music Fest DVD portrays festival life, Synchrosect is an all out mind bender, and brings the club to your lounge. Very cool visuals, with a few mistakes here and there, but not something that'd make me chuck it into the corner and forget about it, far from it. Mr Peculiar presents some kicking tunage, and will be looking forward to the new album.
Chucked it on last night at a friends house, thinking 'Yeah, this'll be good background chillage' Noddachance!!! We all were stoned out our heads, and did not talk nor blink for the duration of the trip. Excellent fun. Next time will try it with shrooms

Good fun for the home :smokingr:
