Well I started a new job not long ago and they were having a clear out of old kit and just gave me a whole bunch of great stuff. Amongst other things they gave me a Tascam TSR-8 An 8 track reel-to-reel. I’ve been playing around with it recording things in distortion and warming them up and experimenting with recording the leakage from other tracks and so on. If anyone on here has any tips and tricks for playing around with tape then I would really love to hear them so I could experiment long in to the early hours. Unfortunately it doesn’t have enough heads to do tape delay but anything else you plp can think of for me to try or words of experience in this medium would be much appreciated. Thanks

not that experienced here, try to cut a kick drum at its zero point and paste later ahead... or find a loop and try to get it pasted 4 times
