The heavy music thread: punk, metal, stoner et etc

Today i have learnt that the instrument guy from the ever vicious Anaal Nathrakh,

has become a bilion stream tik tok celebrity writing phonk music under the name Kordhell:

Not usually into the overly-tech-for-the-sake-of-it metal, but this is fantastic tech death metal

The bassist is something to behold.

Me neither, some Necrophagist or Spawn of Possession is ok, but the neo-classical thing gets old soon for me.

This is more original than most.
How about Necrophagist, eh? Making a splash in the scene like that and then vanishing!
Probably felt that they couldn't maintain the quality at such a genre defining level and quit at the top.

I went to see Graveyard and Baroness a couple of nights ago. Amazing, both of them. The mike sound went after the first Baroness song and there was nearly a riot. We were right next to the sound desk and there was some serious scrabbling around. When it got sorted the place erupted. Then we froze our tits off getting home. Totally worth it.

I didn't know either band. I mean I'd sort of seen Graveyard before when they were warm up for Clutch one time, but the sound was so bad I couln't even recognise what kind of music it was. James knows both bands well and I'm up for (just about) any gig. I think seeing a band you don't know can be the best - a pure experience. You're not waiting for a favourite band to play a weird niche song you love the most.
