The heavy music thread: punk, metal, stoner et etc

Yep, had downgraded my expectations of WTD to 'it will be shite', which has made it a lovely surprise!

Beefy.

They're playing Leeds and Camden in the next couple of weeks I think.
Seen them twice now, first time I had no idea what to expect and was full of amphetamines and awe. Second time confirmed that it wasn't just the whizz.

Also the only t shirt that I mostly feel isn't appropriate to wear.

The Leeds gig was a week or two ago, I didn't make it unfortunately. I saw them at Damnation a while ago though and they were just as you'd expect.

Yeah, I'd describe them as some sort of black/death/sludge hybrid.

*edit* Turns out they've done a collaboration album with Gnaw Their Tongues - just heard a bit of it on YouTube, it's horrible as expected.

Never been too precise about genre boundaries in heavy, DIS certainly aren't .

Looks like I'm going to get to see With The Dead at Roadburn this year, will be the only time seeing Mark and Tim on the same stage since about 2001!

I'd totally forgot they even exist, haha! I'll have to dig out an album later. I loved Darker Handcraft when it came out.

Currently got this spinning:

The wizaaaard!

BURIED AT SEA playing Roadburn - When I heard they were playing out in USA before Xmas I prophesied an appearance at 'burn, Dsertfest, or Temples. Well chuffed I'm all set for Roadburn.

Buried at Sea, AMENRA, and Neurosis in one day, oof.
