I read an article in the guardian about the top 100 things famous scientists have said you should try before you die. Among them are joininjg the 300 club at the south pole (200°F sauna then running around outside -100°F), or swim in a bioluminescent lake.
So anyway, let's hear it, what are the 10 things you want to do before you die[/url]

umm... think this has already been done before! check below?

Some of these will be impossible as we stand currently, still doesn't stop me wanting to do them. This is in no particular order either... except the last will be the last thing I do

1) Go on a trip around the solar system and visit and 'walk on/operate a vehicle of some kind' every planet and moon possible

2) Write an album of mixed electronic music that sells millions worldwide

3) Write a very good scifi novel

4) Play happyhardcore to >50,000 having-it ravers

5) Develop a climate control system that works and benefits the planet

6) Discover a new drug that is 51 times more halucenogenic than acid, 51 times more powerful than ecstacy etc etc etc and is like your personal visit from God but does absolutely no harm to mind, body or soul

7) Grow a 50 meter high sunflower that needs scaffold for support and ends up in the Guiness Book of Records

8) Have as much sex as is humanly possible

9) Spawn some amazing kids

10) Have my memory and personality transfered to a deep space 'Ian M Banks' stylee Drone designed to last millenia equiped with lots of very funky gadgets and a superluminal drive, then go explore the universe whilst my remains are absorbed by a tree planted on my grave.

Fair enough?

:D

have a life

Jodha wants to:
'5) Develop a climate control system that works and benefits the planet'

Err - Josh? If YOU don't think what Jodha said was funny then I can't help you - no mate, you have GOTTA laugh (and no offence Jodha honey) - like there isn't a problem with the one we've got of course (which worked perfectly well until recently) which HUMANS (in all their wisdom) have rather ****** over a bit...ummm, irony anybody? :jump:

Oh yeah, Red 5, no call for that sort of comment - you don't sound like you have a sense of irony either....

ok now ive got absolutly no idea what is going on :S
anyone ?

Me neither

I've only just got out of bed, my coffee is nice and hot but my lighter is still in the car from this mornings poster antics and I am wearing my dressing gown strongly considering a shower - now, developments like this are just unexepcted at this sort of time.

Ho hum, a shower and fag then a day of jet-stream simulations in the kitchen I think, regardless of whatever goes down here.

BTW: Today it will snow over my cooker, it will only be a light settling and is likely to melt away by dinner time due to rising heat from the oven :)

It was, indeed, a BEAUTIFUL morning when I woke up this morning - like an early spring day and not like a sunny winter's day at all - so if you ARE gonna do this weather thing Jodha, it better be good.... :wizard1:

It will be matey, it will be.

The right amounts of the right weather to maintain healthy habitats for all that live on this lump of rock.

The odd 'natural distaster' in unpopulated areas to avoid undue deaths but still creating natural openings for new trees in the forest etc.

I am missing government funding tho, my lab costs are in the region of £29.562Bn a year, and thats for the weed. I'm thinking about opening a high-interest savings account and doing a lot of saving.

*freshly showered and ready for that sunny winter's day's outside he shuffles off to find one of the two lighters on the car dashboard and start doing useful things... after a fag and another coffee*
