Ok ... need a little help here :Smile3:

Im trying to send an album from a PC im sat at to another PC in another country ... it's a newly mastered album and it's being sent back to the artist that built it .... BUT ... the Windows Media player on this PC converts the files (currently 1411 kbps) to 900 something kbps ... when i try and copy from the CD on to the desktop ....

what i want to do is send them in their original size thru a yousendit.com thing without any compression being applied ///

can anyone recommend a download Media thing that wont automatically compress the files ... for this PC

im not to versed in PCs so treat mme as dumb with any advice :Wink3:

soundforge will exact from CD to wav, otherwise there is vast market in specialist rippers like CDex, Audiocatalyst, etc

http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net/

Freeware, dead easy to use.

(Was the basis for AudioCatalyst, since then became freeware, and hooked up to the LAME encoder, nigh-on unbeatable)

The WAV files are stored in the folder specified in the 'General Settings' box (Settings menu>General Settings) or just click the 'settings' icon.

What is it you want to do with them exactly?
