im buying some more ram for me pc, and im aware that if you mix two different types it wont work yeah? well im pretty sure its pc133 what ive got, but does it matter if i get a different size to the two that are already in there? and does it matter if i get some thats made by a different manufacturer? probably stupid questions but i dont wanna fuck it up cos time is of the essence

cheers :D

take your original stick out and take it with you when you go to buy the new bit, you cant go wrong :)

don't panic if it is DDR, different sizes don't matter, nor speeds, nor manufacturers. If the sticks are different speeds, it will always default to the slower of the two sticks, and DDR can run at any bus speed under its top whack.

It is easy, just grab a stick of the good stuff, and away you go.

However, bear in mind, if you are running a Intel with a 800 mhz FSB, you may want to get hold of matched sticks(same speed, same manufacturer, and individually tested to be a match), as this will allow you CPU to fly, assuming your motherboard supports it (ie you have an 875 or more recent chipset).

Hope this makes sense

thanks speaka, its ok tho, i went into pc world yesterday and they said its defo pc133, and different sizes and manufacturers dont matter with that either...but they didnt have any in stock!! so ive ordered a 512Mb stick from novatech now *rubs hands together with glee* should arrive any day now :D
