No, this isn't about drugs, it's about football. Namely a football match played in and around Workington, west Cumbria, each year. Traditionally (and this match has a long history) Uppies and Downies is played in two legs, the first on Good Friday and then on the following Tuesday. The goals are clearly defined, but they're about a mile apart. There aren't any rules as such. The Downies took the first leg yesterday, and it looked like this.
