I am thinking of moving all my Cubase vsts to a different partition just to organise them better and save space on the windows drive. Thinking of doing that after a format of my computer (which I plan to do, anyway), then try and install vsts in the different partition. Do you think is going to have any influence on the performance of the sequencer the fact that it will reference the vsts in the different partition?
Thanks for listening!

my compuetr is set this way
even more as the whole sequencer folderis on a different partitions, still i faced no problems using vsts ...

Right, there should be no problem then, I guess, I am gonna do it this way, I suspected what Colin said, too. Thanks for your help, guys, hope your music inspiration runs wild and creatively!

Putting VST's on a seperate partition completely would probably not even change load times. Considering your still accessing the same physical drive - actually, it might even speed the load up (probably not significant enough for you to notice though), but I don't know enough about drive architecture to be able to tell you that for certain.

If your doing a reformat - why not install a seperate copy of windows on the 2nd partition that you can then optimize for audio. Worked wonders for me :)
