I've played all kinds of styles with various bands in my time - I'm primarily an electric guitar guy, but can do some keys too (even played a bit of bass with bands at times).

We've just been through this on another thread, but I work with OVNI quite regularly as live add-on. Also co-write tracks with Pascal (OVNI). I've recently persuaded Pascal to let me publish some OVNI extracts - links in:

http://www.psy-forum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=41956

My studio's currently set up for pretty-much any style of electronic music, which covers the psy, prog and chill side of things that I'm known for as a DJ.

Here's the current kit-list:

http://www.cabbage-leeds.org.uk/PurushaKit.htm

Plans are afoot for a collaboration with my personal favourite producer, and we're due to start work on a track or 2 this month at his studio. Really looking forward to that - oh yes!

Music is Psytrance a bit of dub or what ever comes out. I often don’t know what until it’s written. It’s now so easy to play with the tempo in live that it could change from one minuet to the next.
Sequencers logic 5.5 & live 5 but more and more live these days.

Pentagon for bass and leads
Vanguard for leads
Battery 2 for drums
Smartelectronix Ambiance reverb
TC works compressor DeEsser with side chainer.
equim EQ
Hardware
Behringerr composer pro comp
Drawmer M500 dynamic processor
Roland Jx-3P synth
Tascam TRS8 tape
Alesis midiverb
Lexicon LXP-1 reverb.
Soundcraft studio spirit 32/8/2 desk
Alesis M1 active MK2 monitors.

Most of the hardware I have only gotten in the past few months and weeks but it has all now been used in my last tune and will be used forever more.
I use plenty of other vst’s also but these are my staple ones. Haven’t used waves in a tune since moving to live 5 but still use them in mastering.
With all this out board kit waves X noise is my new friend.
Oh and my PC is running XP home, Athlone 64 3200 i.25GB ram 120 GB HDD 7200 rpm 8MB cache/buffer. very nearly full. I've even deleted all my monkey porn and still not enough space. bugger

That is a beastmaster setup

Sounds more impressive than it looks. It actually takes up surprisingley litte space. A lot of the kit isn't actually getting used now since I made the move to software and VSTis.

4 years ago, I was writing material with Pascal entirely on hardware (we have an albums worth of 'Miskwedo' material that I must resurrect at some point and get remixed - really not happy with the percussion on that material). That meant taking the whole studio out for live sets. 3 hours to tear down at one end and 3 hours to re-build at the other! That set was centred around an Emu IV Ultra and a Supernova 2.

A lot of kit went and I've distilled things down to a setup I'm really happy with!

no I never had a behringer mixer. Soundcraft all the way for me. I also have a small soundcraft folio. I just love the EQ on them.
