What media player?

Hello can someone recomend a good media player that won't leave gaps between tracks on CDs and files that I load in to a playlist. I'm trying to listen to Shpongle and its doing my head in.

the latest winamp has a 'crossfade' function which does pretty much what it says on the tin (blends the tracks into each other, needs some fiddling depending what you're listening to)

don't whatever you do get the new version. get 2.9 from oldversion.com

Version 5.9 is ok, but for gapless no other player does it better than Windows Media Player 9. Sad but true, even winamp with gapless is less than perfect...
