Can anyone recommend any new ambient / psychill in the same vein as Shpongle, Tripswitch, Slackbaba, Easily Embarassed, Phutureprimitive?

Would love a amboworld replacement website I can go and just find this stuff.

Probably already seen it (although not strictly on the lines you asked for) but you can get a free copy of my album here: http://album.seph.net (c:

@sephira. very good work mate, been listening for some days now :Smile3:

on topic: the second (chill) cd (first one is trance) on this double album is very nice, actually not comparable to anything i know directly:

and something i discovered only lately, if you are open for dub style electronica in surpreme quality and musicality, go for pitch black and everything on their label

maybe check this out first for a good introduction to their sound:

Honestly man, thank you.THANK YOU.Thank you for finally restoring my hope in psychedelic electronic music, when I was running out of things to hear.Recommending to people right now.

Koan Koan Koan Koan Koan Koan Koan Koan Koan Koan Koan Koan Koan Koan Koan Koan Koan Koan Koan Koan Koan!!!!!!!!!!!!

I honestly cannot recommend Koan's album 'When The Silence Is Speaking' enough. Melodically similar to Phutureprimitive and Easily Embarrassed, though I prefer this Koan album in particular a lot more. Seriously stunning musical adventure, 't is. :Smile3:

Ahhhh...

cool beans

@PsycheDanic - wow never heard of Koan!! On it like a nun in a cucumber patch! Thank you.

+1 for Koan 'When the Silence is Speaking'. If you want something along the lines of Shpongle, Yggdrasil is definitely worth a look into. Very similar vibe:

Also, Hypnagog's 'Dreaming in Pieces' is an asbolute gift from above as a free download on Ektoplazm http://www.ektoplazm.com/2009/hypnagog-dreaming-in-pieces-ep. "Tiny Little Pieces" is genius.

I don't like to 'plug' or whatever but I have a psy-chill mix on Soundcloud here http://soundcloud.com/djdollop/mix-mp3-320. That gives a decent overview of my taste in chillout including artists like Bluetech; Shpongle; Ochre; Halogen; Cell. Mixes are always a great way to find new artists so have an explore on soundcloud and join some psy-chill groups.

As a final chillout suggestion, I have to mention Ultimae records. Absolutely beautiful chillout compositions, and there are definitely 'psy' elements but this is more ambient chillout. With artists on their roster including Aes Dana, Cell, Solar Fields, Carbon Based Lifeforms, Field Rotation and DJs including Nova and Tajmahal it's a chillout-lovers dream! Their website is http://www.ultimae.com/ and Carbon Based Lifeforms are a very accesible artist to start with:

Anyway, I hope you enjoy my suggestions! Chill-out is way too underappreciated and I absolutely hate the fact that chill rooms are so rare at parties these days.
