Progressive "house" ?

Well said Mullet:

"Slacker" are kings of Prog House, Fuckin sublime stuff, and I also like "Quivver", and labels like "Baroque", "Fluid", and "Fire" used to hit the spot for sure, don't know if they are still on it, I used to buy loads of prog house vinyl, still got mountains of it, but I've slipped behind the times with it, these dayz, can't afford to buy everything...

For sure check out Thomas Penton, for me one of the leading producers of the progressive house/trance scene.
Beckers is not to be missed as well :Wink3:
Also Andre Absolut :Smile3:
the list can just go on...

Prog labels i'm into lately are SOG, Baroque, P.O.R.N., VP, Sprout - and the new Switzerland based progg label, that will for sure be massive - Kumquat Tunes (check out their releases at http://www.kumquat-tunes.com/ )

Soliptic, I love you for this link!
You know when you are fed up with your own stuff and you feel like hearing something different? Well on Sunday, the wife and I listened to four of the mixes. I would say that out of all the tunes, I only found one that I didn't like (a male vocal of course).

On the subject of progressive house, I gave one of my prog h mixes to a forumer. A long while after, I met her and she said she loved it. She said it was "nice and chilled". It was 135bpm. Funny how a few different sounds and a few beats faster can mean the difference between "chilled" and "banging".

i always pretty much hated house but i found these mixes by looking for more info on the outstanding "kooler - freefall (abakus remix)". downloaded the mix which had it in, it was great, so i downloaded some more... they were all just as great or even better!

the guy himself describes them as progressive house, to me they could easily fit into other categoies, its a mix of proggy house, breaks, minimal tech/psy/house type stuff. really really enjoy it - beautiful stuff .

I get a "404 - Not Found" error - I'm guessing the site's over its download limit for the month...

Been liking all the boshke beats type stuff too, not quite the same tho really.

Stuff you can mix with slower prog psy basically.
